Welcome to CAMBRIDGE university

One of the oldest and most talked about Universities in the world is the "University of Cambridge".
It is located in the city Cambridge, England.
The city itself is a University town, meaning the city is built for the university colleges.

I had the pleasure of visiting this city last monday. It was just a one day trip to the city since it is close to were I live.

Cambridge City
There are about 31 colleges in the city. Some of which are next to each other and some are connecting to each other. We visit quite a few colleges. Almost all colleges are open to visitors and tourist and also have an entrance fee.

Seriously these photos below don't give any justice to the colleges. All of the colleges have such amazing architecture and amazing view, with amazing well maintained gardens. The view is so pleasing to the eyes. It can't be described, it just has to be seen through your eyes..

A great way to see the place is to hire these "bikes". University students use them too.

It was a hot day in cambridge, so we got some crepes to go.
The restaurant here served water in this "glass" below. Well!! what a weird glass is this? han..?
Shaped like a cone, which cant be layed on the table.. Hahaha... :)
Sweet Crepes with nutella and banana topping.

Punting tour in Cambridge.
This has got to be the best possible way to explore the university colleges. 🚣Punting is very famous at this place. Many "punters" are ready to offer you many good deals to take you punting.
You can hire the punters or you can do it yourself if your not terrified of loosing your balance and falling down in the river(unlike us!! :))

It is the most ideal way to explore the city.
A little bridge down the lane which connects some colleges.

The river runs through the heart of Cambridge, which allows you to enjoy fantastic views of the world famous colleges. This tour lasts for 45mins approx. Just sit back and relax while they take you along the banks proving you interesting information about the city.

Cool little Punters, punting away. I felt like it was the mini version of Italy.!!!:)

Every city talks to you and teaches you so many different things. I am always interested to explore a different place and have new experiences. I am loving this new experiences of my life with my new husband. This has to be by far the best place I have visited in the UK.

Eid festival at Trafalgar Square London

Hi! my beautiful readers. How are you doing today?
It was a very big festival for all of us. The end of 30 day Ramadan fasts marks the EID UL FITR festival.

There was a big celebration organised in london last saturday by the "Mayor of London". SO me and my hubs (hubby) decided to go for it. And I was so excited to go that I kept thinking about it the whole time we were on our train to london!!

my SATURDAY went something like this....
This is my train ticket to London : which also allows you to travel in all the "tube stations" and "buses" in London. This is the easiest way to explore the city because with the traffic in London we can not afford to drive cars and we'll be taking huge risks while parking the car.
Train Ticket to London

As we were arriving at the Kings Cross Station, suddenly there was an announcement to vacate the station from the nearest exit. This made me a little scared but apparently they do this more often just to make sure everything is good.
King's Cross St. Pancras Tube station
On our way to the festival...
The sightseeing buses of London. These buses take you to all the tourist attractions in city. These buses are never empty.

So yummy and delicious cupcakes in a store. I couldn't resist it. I had to eat one!!
LOLA's CUPCAKES
We went to the Carnaby street which I loved. Such a cool place with all the good stores.

Watch the video below to see the amazing glittery flag which breaks down into pieces as we go near it.

Finally here we are! TRAFALGAR Square!! Look at the amazing view and such amazing people who turned up. I loved the atmosphere.

Q n A with the kids. The kids are so much fun.

They were many stalls, out of which was the "Mehendi stall". I got my Mehendi done by henna artist PAWAN who is the Gunnies world record holder for being the fastest in the trade.

here is a video I made which gives you more idea how the day was like.

After all the fun, it was time for our dinner and we went to this Indian place named :"MASALA Zone"

I had this "Gol gappas" and Indian Thali for dinner. Being in the UK and still wanna eat Indian food sometimes coz it is just so good!!! I cant resist this chaat. I mean no body can... I love it.! :)

Look at the ceiling of this place!! It is so cutee! I love it.

This was my day!! I hope you had a good time too.

Much Love

London through my eyes..

Hi! my beautiful readers..
How are you all doing? Its me again... Today am gonna talk about LONDON!
I am newly married and I stay in UK with my husband! So me and my hubby often go off to London, because we are fortunate to stay very close to it. As they say London is a very beautiful place and there is so much to explore in the city that you never get bored. The place has so much to offer and I love to go there anytime.

Through this blog I wanna show you "In and Around London city". I will talk about the places we visit and some fun things to do and Life in the UK.

A couple of weeks ago me and hubby visited "THE TOWER BRIDGE", which is the trade mark of London and also the most important tourist attraction over here. People come to this one place just to have a look at the bridge and take pics.

Am gonna let the pictures do the talking!! Enjoy the pics guys.

This was our walk to the tower bridge..

Huge ship in the river..

On our walk, I came across a place where they had many stores to shop from and cool architecture to look at.

It was a long long walk.. but it was worth it.. The closer you get to the tower, the more awesome and BIG it looks...

TOWER BRIDGE!!

I got this pic myself. How awesome does it look.!!! People enjoying near the river side.

Hope you all had fun watching the pics. Am gonna be back soon with yet another story to tell and some more tourist attraction. Until next time.
